BISSNET member school Librarians will meet at the Park School.

The Buffalo Independent Secondary Schools Network (BISSNET) is a unique consortium of sixteen private high schools in Erie and Niagara Counties of Western New York.

Our mission: BISSNET, to better prepare our students for the future, provides its unique member schools with opportunities for collaboration, a forum for sharing ideas and a structure for advocating the values of private education.  Member schools offer quality education to area students and provide excellent choices to families seeking an independent school experience.

Consortium member schools participate in the John R. Oishei Foundation Scholarship Program, which provides nearly-full, four-year scholarship awards to incoming minority freshman at each of the sixteen BISSNET schools.

BISSNET schools also share access to virtual library resources, including ESBCO’s History Reference Center, Science Reference Center and Points of View database.  Other shared resources are SIRS Government Reporter and Researcher and a variety of Gale e-books.

BISSNET schools are dedicated to the growth of each student and believe that strong schools in Western New York communities strengthen the entire region.
